Meet Dr. Kate Glywasky
Dr. Kate Glywasky is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of experience. Her expertise involves assessing the underlying cognitive and psychiatric aspects of brain functioning. Her main areas of interest include traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia and aging, developmental and learning disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, and autoimmune conditions.
Dr. Glywasky is a Veteran and former U.S. Major who has worked in hospital, military, aviation, and forensic environments. She served as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer for the Texas Army National Guard. She was the lead Neuropsychologist for the Traumatic Brain Injury and Brain Injury Rehabilitation Clinics at Brooke Army Medical Center/ San Antonio Military Medical Center. She taught classes at the Army’s Aviation school; and worked in post-acute rehabilitation settings with mild to severely brain injured patients. She has spent more than the last decade focusing on the assessment, research, and treatment of traumatic brain injury and concussion, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, and ADHD. She regularly evaluates pilots and crew members for the military and FAA.
Dr. Glywasky currently operates out of Houston, Texas; and she has a small San Antonio-based practice. She grew up on the east coast of Florida. She was brought to Texas by her work in the military, and has lived here for more than a decade.
