FAA Pilot Evaluation

FAA Pilot Evaluation

Dr. Glywasky has been performing aeromedical evaluations for the military and FAA for more than ten years. Her team is eager to help you navigate the medical certification process. While we would like your services, there are others that offer evaluations for FAA. Please research the psychologist before agreeing to be evaluated by them. Too often, people do not receive the correct examination, and both time and money is wasted.  In general, pilots and student should research their examiner before.

Who is qualified to conduct a neuropsychological evaluation for the FAA?

The FAA neuropsychological evaluation is very unique, and includes several tests and procedures that untrained examiners may not have.  Getting an evaluation which does not include all necessary requirements will be a waste of your time and money. For your own sake, make sure of the following:

  • The neuropsychologist is board certified in clinical neuropsychology or board eligible.
  • Ensure that the neuropsychologist has the Cogscreen-AE by accessing this link: https://www.cogscreen.com/Providers.aspx

Will Dr. Glywasky take my medical insurance to cover this evaluation?

No, unfortunately, medical insurance will only cover what they deem as “medically necessary.” Insurance companies do not consider an occupational evaluation medically necessary. Even with a physician-referral, FAA evaluations will not be covered by insurance.

Know What To Expect

Our 4 Step Process

We Make it Personal

At KGNPA, we treat you as an individual. From our lead neuropsychologist, Dr. Glywasky, to our skilled technicians, we are here to provide quality care, information, and support.

Comprehensive
Approach

Our mission is to evaluate people using a comprehensive approach. We provide objective information about an individual’s memory, attention, problem solving, spatial understanding, mental speed, and psychological functioning.

Analysis

Our neuropsychological testing is part of a complex process designed to gain the most insight about a person’s cognitive, behavioral, linguistic, motor, and executive functioning. The only preparation needed before taking the exam is to ensure you are adequately rested and receive proper nutrition the day before and day of testing.

REporting

We then scientifically analyze these results based on score, age/ability comparisons, and pattern of performance, as it relates to brain functioning. With this knowledge, we prepare detailed reports for FAA requirements.
